The education is based on the government approved 8-4-4 system of education.Admissions are currently open to the community around the School. The needy among the community turn out to be the majority and have not been able to raise school fees to meet the cost of running the school. The BOG undertakes to raise funds to cater for the running expenses. This way, the needy children are retained in school instead of being sent away. The first candidate class is to sit for the National Exams in 2007.
DisiplineWe are grateful to God, the teachers and the perfect body working around the clock. Our school is in a society that has less value for education, a people that believe in dowry because of a girl child hence early marriages, sexual abuse and molestation by the relatives, parents and the elderly. A society whose morals are dominated by sorcery and witchcraft. It is in this perspective that we gather here. We have been called to help transform the society from using the innocent generation. Generation is held in high esteem, spanking is not a solution for this creates fear in the child limiting learning. The guidance and counseling, and above all the word of God, which has brought a high sense of responsibility. Our pupils are very discipline, have a great desire towards positive changes and this is seen in non-existence of pregnancies and unnecessary dropouts. The learners have learnt to value education and believe that without Godly values there can be no success. This has been made possible by your contribution in Spirit, Financially and Morally, because some of our counselors come from here. Games and SportsWe take games seriously as a learning method not to pass time, but as a means of mental, physical and emotional growth. We emphasize on play as an integral part of a child’s development and to identify talents. In this process, we encourage our pupils who do us proud, internally. We have intercourse competitions where Longonot house is always shining. Externally in the M.P.S.S.A. competition we lost all except the junior football trophy as Kenya Calcium took almost all. In athletics, we took all prices since we had no competition. Though we lost, our pupils had an exquisite moment. They shared and learnt that outside Mwangaza they’re other people. We look forward to joining the Public School Competitions to joining the Public School Competitions to participate in National Competitions. |
